Hot and dry conditions to continue. (Dated 16/10/02)

The 30day average of the SOI as of the 16th of October is -8.9.

The current outlook continues to highlight hot and dry conditions across Queensland.

There is only a low 20-40% chance of getting median rainfall for most of Queensland for October to December. However, marginally higher probabilities (40-50%) indicate the potential for some relief rainfall across southern and western Queensland.

There is also a high likelihood (70-80%) of above average maximum temperatures for October to December across Queensland.
